It is witty and he quotes one of my favorite web thinkers, Clay Shirky, on the appeal and at the same time the risk or downside of today's popular medium. Shirky describes what avid bloggers find themselves engaged in as:
“There is an obsessive, dollhouse pleasure in configuring and looking at it, a constant measure of social capital.”Let's hope that we recognize that in our blogging selves and temper it with restraint and a tendril of consciousness reaching out of the cyberworld and into the real world. Anyway, the whole post is a good read.
