I try out voice recognition software.
Well I've been meaning to try out voice recognition software for quite some time. Finally I went out and bought iListen out package that works on Macintosh. I tried it out of the box and it really was pretty bad.
My midwestern twang seem to set the program off, so I had to return to the instructions and go through several training exercises. To train the software you read set passages and help it learn your particular pecadilloes.
Since I'm currently as co-editor and web spinner for our community news site called creating community connections . org, it's hard to get time for writing that I do for work or about my blogs and just have time to write up something that I've discovered while doing this interesting work. That's the rationale for getting the voice recognition software and trying to be able to dictate some of my on papers instead of typing them up.

Please contact our support department through our support web site (www.macspeech.com/support).
If you were getting less than 80% accuracy (most of our customers get 85-95 percent accuracy after reading only the first training story) then something is not configured correctly, and our support team can help you get up and running.
Your midwestern "twang" should not make a difference. I have a midwestern twang as well and consistently get 92-93 percent accuracy after reading just the first training story.
