Project for Excellence "info-nuggets"

The PEJ's annual The State of the News Media report is online. This is one of my personal favorites among reports because it is designed not for print, but for online. It includes about 16,000 pages this year, I think, and some customizable tables that are a joy to the info-journalists eyes and heart.

This year Mark Glaser from MediaShift has done a true service to thoughtful readers by asking for posts about the most interesting news nugget that you come across. I love a feature like this, because what is obvious to you, might not leap off the page for me. I like it too, because it sets a frame for me as I read through the report -- what is interesting or unexpected? I will be posting mine as I dig them up.
