Drug Safety Bill 'Draconian,' Say Broadcasters

This is just a lobbying thing by corporations with big money that want to further be allowed to exploit individuals with impunity. We need to go back to questioning how it is the corporations became "persons" but somehow got rights without responsibilities. Especially the right to dominate public discourse through ownership of what belongs to the public, such as the airwaves.

In a letter to House Energy & Commerce Committee Chairman John Dingell (D-Mich.) the Advertising Coalition said they want him to oppose parts of the Enhancing Drug Safety and innovation Act of 2007 (H.R. 1561), that would include a three-year waiting period before ads could air for new medications, preclaerance of ads by the FDA, and mandated warnings.
