John Wayne partisanship, politics, and the rule of Law

That night, my grandpa, the most conservative of Republicans, responded to Nixon's firing the prosecutor by saying we were the same as Russia (back in the 70's this had a strong meaning.) Grandpa is dead, but I that respect for the rule of law, no matter what party you follow, will endure and triumph.


Nixon's mistake, the last and most fatal of them, the firing of Archibald Cox, was enough to cost him the presidency.
