About drupal by Richard

Drupal is a large app. Plan first, figure what problems you are trying to solve, and get the modules you want. Or you can recruit among the developers and have them build it in the Open Source. Take our site off of the current host??? Drupal is flexible for websites -- and everything else costs lots more.

Mambo, scoop, and drupal are the ones Lisa Williams listed. Pluck, iupload are 3rd party but pricey.

SEO -- write for specific audiences. There are some tricks, but mainly it is just getting people to link and commnent on your stories. Look for the quirky and non-breaking news stories for views. RSS feeds are crucial.

Headlines are crucial -- they need to be specific and descriptive. Market your story via the 3 words that someone would type into google for the story. Google is the front-end of the web nowadays -- people type the name of your site into google to go there.

NewWest and the __ist sites are better. Placeblogger had dates as headlines and they are bad headlines.
