Golden Opportunity for News Organizations to "Own" Eyeballs

This story got published in NowPublic. The main point was that surveys of online consumers show that more than half now view TV programs on "other devices" such as iphones, other mobiles and from computers. No local media are providing TV guides online and consumers say it takes too long to find programs. Where are convenient TV guides for these people, and while the stations are at it, why not remix video clips from the day into mobile shorts like "Sports Corner" or "Aldermen in Perspective?" The mobile device as the way we get news is going to be the story of 2008, and news organizations shouldn't wait to be there first.
