Digital coverage of We Media Miami 2008

We Media 2008 conference had a nice mix of big panels of "experts," unveilings of way-cool projects and technologies, unconference sessions, and a bit of time to network with everyone who attended.

They have collected a link to most of the digital coverage of the conference, including blog post, audio, and online news. As a Fellow at the conference, I provided my share of the content via live blogging.

Thanks to the organizers for their help. I liked the mix of people at We Media, and the fact that it wasn't huge. NowPublic's Mike Tippett and Merrill Brown were there, as was Amy Gahran, Len Witt,

My favorite app was dotsub.com (open sourced video translations) with vuvox.com a close second.

Big ideas I came away with: reinforced my belief that mobile is the news platform for '08-'09, news isn't being consumed via websites, but with feeds and searches, social networking tools can be leveraged to help non-profits, Mainstream News organizations are getting used to news as a conversation, and our medical records are a digital opportunity or nightmare (depending on your perspective.
