Livecasting tomorrow from The Hague
Image via WikipediaTomorrow I'll head out with Paul Rusesabagina and Ambassador Robert Kruger and our crew to the Peace Palace at the Hague in the morning. We are going to a conference on how to bring peace and sustainable development to the Great Lakes Region of Africa, which includes Rwanda, Burundi, Congo and Uganda. My part in this is setting up a live webcast, and I'm using Seero, which can geotag live webcasts. We aren't going to be mobile, so the geotags aren't quite as cool as when you driving in a car with GPS and doing a videocast, but the interesting challenge is thinking about how an audience that includes people in Africa, an international audience, and people in a diaspora around the world can be brought together with something like a live webcast. I can't get too creative now about the writing, because I'm tired from the flight over here and a long layover in London.
