Twitter beats every reporter but Clark Kent for breaking news

Ad-age not only had the story, but had it in an email alert to me. See the screen grab for other sites breaking this story. I stopped to collect the time information on 6/6/08 at 3:11 pm CST.

The outage at Amazon was on twitter. I know I twittered that the site was back onliine, but there must have scads of people checking to see when it went back online. Looks like breaking stories are coming from reporters who are looking at their twitter streams.
