Sunday in Summer
Rebuilding my leg strength with walking. And the walking doesn't really hurt. I can walk about a mile now. Then the ice contraption does wonders to keep the swelling down.
This image was recorded on my new Eye-Fi Explorer memory card. The card connects via WiFi to my computer, as long as my network is on, and uploads photos as soon as it senses my network. It is supposed to work in McDonald's at Waypoints, but since I generally abstain from McDonald's, trying it there will be problematic.
This model of mem card uses signals from WiFi nodes when you turn it on to triangulate your location, and then "...The Eye-Fi Service then translates this information into a specific physical location at the time your photos are uploaded. Our partner, Skyhook Wireless, has mapped the geographic coordinates of millions of wireless access points around the world. The Eye-Fi Service adds the geo tag, in the form of GPS-like latitude and longitude, to each photo’s metadata section (the EXIF header), where information such as the photo timestamp is stored," according to the Eye-Fi website.
I'll be taking the camera on walks with me, to see how this auto-geo-tagging works. While I am always bedazzled by tech tweeks like this, my family members are appalled at my disregard for my privacy, in terms of where I am going and taking pictures. This is obviously not something to be ignored, and I will consider it in further entries.
