Making the switch...one guy's story.
Man, this is an okay series of posts, but what idiotic navigation the site provides. Obviously if it is going to be a series of posts it ought to be easy to go from day to day...well it isn't. I finally gave up trying to read all the posts because it was taking me soooo long to find them.
He writes about Linksys and Macs and I don't get it. We have PCs on linksys and we are using WEP in hex. Once my significant other wrote out the encrypted password in hex for me (though there are apps that will do it for you) it was just a matter of typing in the network name and password. Maybe it is hard if you don't encrypt your WIFI, but that just means you shouldn't leave your WiFi hanging out for anyone to use. Have you ever had your laptop in the lobby of a condo? Try connecting. There will be some protected networks but there is usually an open one...
